When performing these exercises, unless otherwise instructed, make sure you are sitting in a straight-backed chair, keep your shoulders relaxed but do not slouch.

Many experts recommend that you practice facial exercises in front of a mirror so that you can watch yourself and perfect your technique.

Exercise 1

• Place the tips of your fingers gently along the top of each eyebrow

• Arch your forehead by trying to raise your eyebrows

• At the same time press your fingers gently to keep your eyebrows in place

• Hold for a count of 5

• Relax your face and then repeat 10 times

Exercise 2

• Lie on your back on your bed

• Allow your head to comfortably hang just over the edge of the bed

• Raise your eyebrows as high as you can

• At the same time open your eyes as wide as possible

• Hold for a count of five

• Relax your face and then repeat 5 – 10 times

Exercise 3

• Gently pinch hold of each eyebrow along the brow bone with your thumb and index finger

• Raise your eyebrows while still holding loosely onto the brow bone

• Use your finger as resistance to push down your eyebrow trying to resist the upward pull

• You should feel a ‘smoothing’ sensation along your forehead as you perform this exercise

• Hold for a count of 5

• Relax your face and repeat 10 times

Exercise 4

• Place your 4 fingertips above your eyebrows to form a horizontal line

• Keeping your eyes closed, slide your fingers out towards your hairline

• Bring your fingers back to the starting position and repeat up to 30 times using a soothing, sweeping motion

Exercise 5

• Start from the center of your forehead

• Using your knuckles gently rub your forehead all over

• Work your way out towards your temples

• Massage for 2 – 3 minutes to relax the forehead and increase the flow of blood to your skin in this area

• This exercise is also soothing and a good way to release tension
